Adler 50th

Dr. Irving and Lillian Adler
of Southfield celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on
Dec. 26. The couple was mar-
ried on Dec. 26, 1937, in
Detroit.
Dr. Adler has been a practic-
ing optometrist for 48 years.
He is a member of the
American Optemetric
Association, the Lions Club,
Temple Israel, American
Jewish Congress and was the
director of the eye clinic at the
Juvenile Detention Home in
Detroit.
Mrs. Adler was a speech
therapist and guidance
counselor in the Detroit and
Oak Park Public schools. She
was also a member of the
American Jewish Congress,
the National Teachers
Association, other various
professional organizations
and Temple Israel.
Their children are: Barry
Adler and Donna Adler Ron.
They have five grandchildren.
The couple will travel to
Israel soon to celebrate their
granddaughter's bat mitzvah.
