The 19 segments of the Israeli series have been con- densed into 13 segments for the spring semester by the Midrasha-College of Jewish Studies' Renee Wohl. Star- ting Sunday, local experts will lead the classes, and each student will be given a study guide. The facilitators include Prof. Sidney Bolkosky, Dr. Margaret Eichner, Prof. Zvi Gitelman, Rabbi David Nelson, Yefet Ozery, Rabbi Elliot Pachter, Mark Smiley, Renee Wohl, Rabbi Morton Yolkut and Larry Ziffer. Ofra Fisher, superintendent of United Hebrew Schools, said Pillars of Fire will "put more life into an important topic, make it relevant, and give it a beginning and an end. Where did Zionism start, where is it now and why is it important" will be covered in a coordinated, interesting way. UHS is planning to make Pillars of Fire a year-long pro- gram next fall. Arab, Jew Debate Gaza Berl Falbaum of the ex- ecutive committee of the Jewish Community Council and Abdeen Jabara, ex- ecutive director of the American Arab Anti- Discrimination Committee, will debate the current unrest and political situation of the Palestinians at 4 p.m. Satur- day on WXYT Radio (1270).
