Salvador Dali.

Greenwich, Conn. — The
Menorah and The Wailing
Wall, limited edition
sculptures by Salvador Dali,
are available in the United
States for the first time since
1982.
These sculptures, created
by Dali in 1981 as an homage
to the Jewish people, were
withdrawn from U.S. sales in
1982 because of a dispute bet-
ween the artist and his U.S.
representative over distribu-
tion practices.
Genesis International, of
Greenwich, Conn., is the new
exclusive worldwide
distributor for the remaining
unsold sculptures in the
edition.
Dali, 82, stopped creating in
1985 because of illness and
the death of his wife Gala.

The sculptures were
presented to Ambassador
Meir Rosen of Israel at a
dedication in Paris in 1982.
Each sculpture is numbered
and bears the signature of
Dali. They were cast and
finished in France and stand
on Israeli stone. Both
sculptures are available in
bronze, bronze covered with
silver, and bronze covered
with gold. Each sculpture is
accompanied by a certificate
of authenticity as well as a
copy of the original contract

signed by Dali authorizing
casting of the sculpture.
For information, contact
Genesis International, 32
Field Point Rd., Greenwich,
Conn. 06830, (203) 629-3355.

Pledges
Called In

With less than a week to go
before the end of 1987, a na-
tional cash shortage in com-
parison to recent years has
prompted an appeal to Allied
Jewish Campaign contribu-
tors for payment on their
1987 pledges.
According to Campaign
Cash Mobilization Chairmen
Marvin H. Goldman and
Robert H. Nataly, Campaign
contributors can help others
and give themselves a tax
break by paying off their 1987
pledge now, and pre-paying on
1988.

Israel, EEC
Sign Trade Pact

Brussels (JTA) — Israel and
the European Economic Com-
munity, after a long delay,
signed a new trade protocol
Dec. 15 that will give Israeli
agricultural exports certain
tariff advantages in the Euro-
pean market.
