Maurice Rosender
A grove of 1,000 trees has
been established in the B'nai
B'rith Forest in Israel in
honor of the 80th birthday of
Maurice Rosender by his wife,
Belle, children, grand-
children, great-grand-
children, and members of the
Detroit community.
Rosender was recently
honored by the community
with the planting of 1,000
trees in the B'nai B'rith
Forest.
Rosender is a founding
member of B'nai B'rith
Oakland Century Lodge for
over 30 years, and has held
almost every office in that
organization; was a founding
member of Adat Shalom
Synagogue; and was honored
by State of Israel Bonds at
Cong. Shaarey Zedek in 1971
as its Man of the Year. In
1974, he was elected to the
B'nai B'rith Hall of Fame "for
his successful membership ef-
forts in recruitment?'

Plans To Meet
The next general meeting of
the Charles Shapiro Post will
be held on Sunday at 9 a.m.
at the Jewish War Veterans
Memorial Home. An-
nouncements about forthcom-
ing winter activities will be
made and the installation of
new officers will be discussed.

meeting and all Jewish War
