DEA FARRAH, MSW, ACSW Campaign Aims At Resolution A postcard campaign directed to foreign embassies of countries which abstained or voted in support of the anti- Zionist United Nations resolution 3379, known as "Zionism Is Racism," has been launched by the Zionist Organization of America, ac- cording to Rabbi M. Robert Syme, president of Metro Detroit ZOA. The campaign is a follow-up to the petition effort of 1985 aimed at expunging the resolution from the records of the world body. The campaign is directed at eight countries likely to be crucial in having the U.N. resolution overturned. The countries are France, West Germany, Senegal, Nigeria, Yugoslavia, Brazil, Mexico and Japan. Those countries will be urg- ed "to join with the govern- ments of the United States and Australia in calling for the repudiation of U.N. resolution 3379 on Zionism," according to campaign com- mittee chairmen Stanley and Linda Beltzman. A letter is being circulated to rabbis and organizations seeking cooperation in get- ting this effort under way. Postcards are available at the ZOA office, 569-1515. The apologies were for an item published in Trybuna Ludu, the official organ of the Polish Communist Party, that contained anti-Israel over- tones. The item, transmitted abroad by PAP, the Polish news agency, claimed that the Polish committee organizing the ceremonies was con- cerned over "the current dangerous revisionist and neo-Nazi trends in the Federal Republic of Germany as well as the possible conse- quences of Israel's policy of expansion." The Israeli government and the World Federation of Former Jewish Fighters, Par- tisans and Concentration Camp Inmates protested to Warsaw.
