Stein, past presi- dent of the Furniture Club of Detroit, died Dec. 11 at age 85. Born in Chicago, Ill., Mr. Stein was a retired furniture manufacturer's represen- tative. Marion Davidson Marion Davidson, a preci- sion tool engineer, died Dec. 12 at age 72. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, Mr. Davidson was a vice presi- dent ofLone Star Grinding Co. of Houston, Tex. He was a member of the Masons and ASTME — the American Society of Tool and Manufac- turing Engineers. Mr. David- son was chairman of the American National Stan- dards Institute and was a gold card member of the American Federation of Musicians. Harold A. Levine, current president of the Wayne Scrap Iron and Metal Co., died Dec. 12 at age 67. Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., Mr. Levine was a member of Pisgah Lodge of B'nai B'rith, Cong. Shaarey Zedek and the Institute of Scrap Iron and Metal. Bernard Epton, Ex-Candidate Chicago — Bernard E. Ep- ton, former Chicago mayoral candidate, died Dec. 13 at age 66. Born in Chicago, Mr. Epton was educated at the Univer- sity of Chicago, Northwestern University and DePaul University. He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1947. He served as a member of the Illinois General Assembly from 1969 to 1982 and was a member of Lloyds of London and past president of the Na- tional Conference of In- surance Legislators. He also was a director of the Jewish Community Centers of Chicago, trustee of the Col- lege of Jewish Studies and a member of the president's council at St. Xavier College. During World War II, Mr. Epton served as a captain with the Army Air Corps in Europe and received the Distinguished Flying Cross cluster and the Air Medal three times.
