I N EWS Senate Bans Sale To Saudis Washington (JTA) — The Senate voted unanimously last week to prohibit the sale or transfer of F-15E aircraft to Saudi Arabia, although it permitted the sale of earlier, less sophisticated models of the F-15. The amendment, sponsored by Sen. Howard Metzenbaum (D-Ohio), also stipulated that Saudi Arabia may not have more than 60 F-15s at any one time. The House of Representa- tives approved identical legislation as part of the foreign aid authorization bill. President Reagan is expected to receive the bill later this month, after the Senate and House bills are approved in final form. Chrysler Exec Sees Diminished Industry Bias If the automobile industry had a reputation for anti- Semitism in the past, it doesn't today, according to Chrysler Motors chairman Gerald Greenwald. Greenwald, who is Jewish, told more than 100 par- ticipants at last week's Jewish Welfare Federation Breakfast Club that because the industry possesses a large, well-educated manage- ment group, it probably har- bors less anti-Semitic senti- ment today than other large corporations. Greenwald's least comfor- table experiences were when he was in top management with Ford Motor Co. and working with people in Ger- many and especially Argen- tina who still sympathized with Hitler's Nazi regime. In one instance, a host bragged that dinner was being prepared by a man who had been Goebbels' personal chef. Sensing Greenwald's unease, the host assured him that the chef was apolitical. In response to a question about outsourcing by Chrysler to manufacturers in Israel, Greenwald said that while Israel is good in high technology areas, it is not as good in manufacturing the lost cost, mass produced quality parts Chrysler needs. 358-2333 Hours: Mon. -Thurs. 9-7 Fri. 9-6; Sat. 9-5 POSTERS 10% OFF From Your Old Photos or Negatives $3.00 OFF 36 exposures $2.00 OFF 24 exposures $1.00 OFF 12 exposure or disc PASSPORT on developing and PHOTOS printing of $7.95 110, 126, 135, C-41 color prints I Visas • Resumes • Applications J FULL PHOTO SERVICES INCLUDING: BLACK & WHITE, ENLARGEMENTS & PORTRAITS I 29179 Northwestern Hwy. at 12 Mile Rd.
