deep-fried or cheese-covered
items. Some good choices for
a la carte meals include: wild
rice and fresh vegetables or
chicken vegetable soup and a
plain baked potato. Desserts
that go well with any meal
are fresh fruit or lo-cal fruit
cocktail.
Quench your thirst with
plenty of water. Drink as
much as you want! This is one
drink you can indulge in
without any consequences.
What about before and after
dinner drinks? Go ahead and
have a drink with everyone
else, just make it sparkling
water with a twist of your
favorite citrus fruit, decaf-
feinated coffee or tea.

State University. Margolis is

This scholarship was found-
ed by Morry Direnfeld in
memory of his wife, who was
active in B'nai B'rith ac-
tivities. Direnfeld was involv-
ed in the founding of the WSU
Hillel in 1945 and is cur-
rently an honorary lifetime
member of that organization's
board of governors.
The scholarship is awarded
to WSU students who are
members of the Hillel Foun-
dation on the basis of the can-

didate's service to the Jewish
community, need and
academic strength.

sity will go skiing at Schuss
Mountain Resort in
Mancelona, Mich., Jan. 3-7.
The four-day trip will in-
