Music Workshop
For Children

A music and rhythm
workshop will begin in
January at the Jewish Com-
munity Center for children 5
years and up. This once-a-
week, five-week course of 45
minutes each, explores
children's musical creative
abilities.
The instructor will be
Muriel Kilby, pianist for the
Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
There is a fee. The workshop
is open to the public.

Concert lluesday

Twenty-five women of the
Bel Canto Choral Society will
present a program of modern
and traditional Chanukah
music at the Downtown
Branch of the Detroit Public
Library (behind Hudson's) at
12:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Bel Canto, under the direc-
tion of Denise Ogden and ac-
companied by Rochelle Barr,
is the first group to perform
a Chanukah program at the
downtown library. The public
