Argentino which opened to

rave reviews on Broadway
and is now in its second suc-
cessful year on the road,
opens at Fisher Theatre, Dec.
19 through Jan. 10.
Tango Argentino, the show
that came from Paris to New
York for one week and stayed
for an entire season, won
three Tony nominations and
hasbroken attendance
records from Los Angeles to
Miami, from Washington,
D.C. to San Francisco.
Its original Broadway cast
will be at the Fisher.
RITA GRACE, owner of
Daly's Restaurants in
Romulus, Plymouth, Livonia,
Westland and Dearborn,
recently gave coupons
redeemable for a hamburger
or hot dog with a medium size
drink to the first 5Q donors
who gave blood at an
American Red Cross blood
donor center.
The gift was her way of say-
ing "thank you" for suppor-
ting the community's blood
supply on a day when many
people were more concerned
with holiday shopping than
donating blood.
The centers didn't have to
be in a commune where she
owned a restaurant . . . it
could be anywhere.

will sing and dance to benefit
the Michigan Cancer Founda-
tion at its annual dinner May
6, at the Westin Hotel.
This marks the sixth year of
MCF's celebrity-filled, black-
tie event which raises
thousands of dollars for the
state's only institute devoted
solely to cancer research,
prevention and patient
programs.
Honorary chairpersons for
the dinner are Jody and Don
Peterson . . . Marcia and Gene
Applebaum are dinner
chairpersons.
