IRVING WEINTRAUB, 75,
died Dec. 1. He leaves his
wife, Pauline; two daughters,

Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Harold
(Trudy) Shapiro; two brothers,
Milton and Henry; a sister,
Mrs. Harold (Mae) Zlotnik of
Brooklyn, N.Y.; and for
grandchildren.
Dr. Leo Shipko
Dr. Leo Shipko, who was
among the pioneering
organizers of the College of
Dentistry at Aviv Univer-
sity, died Nov. 28.
A 1951 graduate of the
University of Detroit Dental
School, Dr. Shipko was an
associate professor at the
school for 14 years and was
active in a variety of alumni
affairs. He was founding
president of the University of
Detroit's Orthodontics Socie-
ty and was the dental school's
Alumnus of the Year in 1980.
As an active member of
Alpha Omega Dental Frater-
nity, he also helped establish
a dental school in Jerusalem.
For many years, Dr. Shipko
was involved in the activities
of the Magen David Adom,
the Israel counterpart of the
Red Cross in Israel. He
chaired two campaigns on
behalf of the Israel medical
service.
Dr. Shipko leaves his wife,
Roslyn; three sons, Jeffrey of
Chicago, Ill., Robert of Kew
Gardens, N.Y., and Dr. Phillip
of Beverly Hills, Calif.; a
daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Susan)
Orman of Windsor; a brother,
Dr. Albert; and a sister, Mrs.
Saymour (Betty) Lichter of In-
dianapolis, Ind.
Arnold Cohodas
Arnold M. Cohodas, nephew
of Northern Michigan philan-
thropist Sam Cohodas and
former president of Cohodas
Brothers, is dead at age 74.
