The Alzheimer's Disease
and Related Disorders
Association-Detroit Area
Chapter (ADRDA) is a volun-
tary health agency which pro-
vides a wide range of services
including: family support
groups, telephone helpline,
counseling assistance, in-
home respite care, adult day
care, community and family
education and promotion of
research.
All of ADRDA's services are
either free of 'charge, or bas-
ed on a sliding scale accor-
ding to ability to pay.
The Chocolate Jubilee is
put on each year by the En-
dowment Committee of
ADRDA-Detroit Chapter.
Among the members of the
committee are: Marlene Bor-
man, chairman; John Bloom,
Jack Bloom, Reva Kogan,
Doreen Hermelin, Bluma
Siegal, Renee Mahler,- Jeffrey
D. Feeley, Pola Friedman,
Dede Feldman and Beryl
Winkelman.
The patron will be held at
noon.
The jubilee itself will start
at 2 p.m. More than 30
restaurateurs and chocolaters
will participate, and will offer
free samples of chocolate
desserts, candies and special-
ty confections. Gift items for
the Holidays will also be
available. Many exhibitors
will demonstrate making
various desserts right on the
premises.
All proceeds from the
Brunch and the Jubilee will
go to benefit ADRDA. The
funds will be used to support
the in-home respite program,
the adult day care program,
and counseling services, as
well as the other service pro-
grams the agency offers.
