W.A.N.D., Women's Action
for Nuclear Disarmament,
will present Sen. Lana
Pollack (D AnnArbor) at a
meeting on Tuesday, at 7:30
p.m. in the Marcotte Room of
the Southfield Public Library.
Sen. Pollack, who is a can-
didate for the U.S. House of
Representatives in
Michigan's 2nd District, will
speak on "Women, the Arms
Race and the National
Budget." The community is
invited.
Sen. Pollack received her
B.A. degree in political
science and her M.A. degree
in education from the Univer-
sity of Michigan. She
previously served as a
member of the Ann Arbor
Board of Education and was
a teacher. She is a member of
Hadassah, ORT, the Anti-
Defamation League, the
Washtenaw Jewish Com-
munity Center and American
Jewish Congress. There is a

series of luncheon programs

The film The Mad Adven-
