sion Foundation (DETF),
licensee for WTVS Channel
56, reelected Iris Kaufman as
its chairman at its annual
meeting.
Kaufman was elected as
DETF's first woman chair-
man in October 1986, after
serving as a trustee since
1972 and holding various
board committee member-
ships. She has also been a lay
representative to the Public
Broadcasting Service (PBS).

Mitchell Weitzman, son of
Lucia and Herman Weitzman
(formerly of Farmington
Hills, now of Ft. Lauderdale,
Fla.) was assigned the posi-
tion of legal intern in the
Department of Justice, Office
of Special Investigation,
Washington, D.C.
In this capacity, Weitzman
will assist the office's work in
the investigation, prosecution
and deportation of Nazi
criminals. Weitzman attends
George Washington Universi-
ty Law School.
He was graduated cum
laude from New York Univer-
sity where he served as presi-
dent of the Jewish Cultural
Foundation. He is a graduate
of Akiva Day School.
