Hosts Rabbi

Rabbi Mordechai Wolmark,
kashrut director of the Coun-
cil of Orthodox Rabbis of
Metropolitan Detroit, will be
the guest speaker at the
"Lunch and Learn" Shabbat
at Young Israel of Oak-Woods
on Dec. 5.
He will speak on
"Understanding the Stan-
dards of Kashrut."
Rabbi Wolmark was
granted smichah from the
late Rabbi Moshe Feinstein
and also from Beth Joseph
Yeshiva in New York.
He received training in
beth din from the Rabbinical
Council of America, and was
an associate member of the
beth din of the Beth Joseph
Yeshivah. He also served as
Mesader Gitin (divorce ad-
ministrator) for the New York
metropolitan area.
Rabbi Wolmark will speak
at a luncheon following
regular Sabbath morning ser-
vices and kiddush. There is a
charge and reservations are

will be the feature film
presented under the auspices
of the B'nai Moshe Cultural
Commission in the syna-
gogue social hall on Dec. 5 at
8 p.m., according to Ann and
Leonard Wanetik, who chair
this event.
There is a nominal charge,
and refreshments will be sold.
The public is welcome.
Gladys and Larry Rockind,
who chair the B'nai Moshe
Torah Club, said the club's se-
cond Torah Study session is
scheduled in the B'nai Moshe
Board Room on Sunday at 7
p.m. Rabbi Alan Meyerowitz,
B'nai Moshe spiritual leader,
will speak on "The Patriarchs
and the Matriarchs — The
Stronger of the Sexes?"
