But it's an annual event for Kosins Clothes, which drew over 300 recently at Tam O'Shanter Country Club in a very in- teresting and entertaining exhibit produced and directed by Leah Marks. People galore were mostly men, but a goodly share of gals, too, who want to see the latest in fall men's wear now showing at Kosins. Certainly people like Bill Weiss, Harry's and Ben's chief tailor; Steve Simons, their ad man; most of the sales and of- fice personnel; Harry's wife Marilyn; their sister Sally; Mickey and Morrie Beresh celebrating 44th anniversary (congrats to this swell couple) . . . Al Stein retired that day as a clothing manufacturer's rep. Was a complete show of the noted Correge line handled by Kosins Clothes . . . and see- ing today's fashions is better than that which people will be wearing at a future time . . . After all, it's today folks are concerned with, not how they should look tomorrow. What was shown cold be bought on the spot or at the Kosins stores. A long runway displayed a bevy of elegant men's clothing in the Detroit area's premiere showing of Correge, a new designer in this region. The d.j. music was soft with a steady beat as Nancy Chris- tiansen, Kosins vice presi- dent, introduced the show .. . dancer, then leather coats with fur collars, sweaters and leather jackets, casual attire, sweater jackets, sharp double- breasted jackets in beautiful designs, ladies Correge styles (not sold at Kosins), pants with pleats and belts. Then white cashmere wrap- around coats without buttons (and to think my wife wanted to throw mine away!) . . . the models wearing hats, beautiful double-breasted suits with a mixture of single- breasted garments . . . Non- vented clothing is a Correge trademark . . . Belted coats of various colors and designs, gloves and hats, double- breasted coats, formal and evening wear . . . background of white paneling with kaleidescope slides . . . and even Champ, the wire-haired Lazo Apso in front and- Wire- haired terrier in back, owned by Dee and Dr. Marshall Shapiro. The handsome male models went out into the audience handing roses to gals . . . a nice touch . . . Nancy in- troduced Harry and Ben, whose well-received applause was for the very fine fashion show. Prior to the show, a sump- tuous buffet was displayed for the many as an accordionist strolled . . . Also an open bar . . . Then a lovely Tam sweet table and many fine com- ments about the Correge line now at Kosins Clothes.
