what came on them was most

Tom Meier, executive chef
at the Radisson Plaza Hotel,
previously served as ex-
ecutive chef for the Radisson
in Fargo, N.D., where he also
was responsible for pre-
opening services of the hotel's
kitchens . . . In 1985, ibm was
named Chef of the Year by the
Radisson Corp.
Many kudos to Banquets
chef Greg Erwin for the smok-
ed salmon he made me .. .
dry, without butter, so
delicate yet firm . . . and ex-
tremely tasty.
The presentation is
beautiful also . . . with color-
ful fresh vegetables adorning
the plates and adding to an
appetizing meal.
The grilled Pacific salmon
was smoked with hickory
chips in a special smoker of
the Radisson's huge kitchen
. . . Our companion had a
wonderful rack of lamb smok-
ed in the hickory chips and
grilled with Mesquite wood.
All pastries are made at the
Radisson . . . hazelnut torte,
chocolate truffle torte, granny
smith apple tart, cheesecakes,
etc. . . . Two people at another
table were goo-goo-eyed at
their desserts . . . One was
chocolate waffle, about an
inch thick, with ice cream
made at the Radisson, bit-
tersweet hot chocolate sauce,
fresh whipped cream and
chocolate shavings on top .. .
The large sundae was beyond
description except to say it
looked sinfully delicious!
Bouquets is set on two
levels . . . with brass railings
. . . and a veritable sea of
glass all around.
Now comes the kicker .. .
Where else can you go to a
world class elegant
restaurant and walk out with
a pizza? . . . This is what I
took home after discovering
that its very popular Napoli
pizza is a room service
favorite . . . guaranteeing
delivery "to your door in 29
minutes or it's free!" . . .
Come the first of the year, it
is highly probable that the
Radisson Plaza may go into
the business . . . Well, not ex-
actly . . . Orders for pizza may
also be taken from persons on
the outside . . . Napoli pizza
at the Radisson even has its
own menu . . . and folks
delivering them wear hats
and T-shirts that say Napoli
pizza.
In other words, you might
say the 12-story Radisson
Plaza Hotel at Town Center
