Midrasha Has
New Program

The Midrasha College of
Jewish Studies and the Com-
munity Jewish High School,
divisions of the United
Hebrew Schools, will sponsor
a new program for graduates
of the Hebrew high school.
Rabbi Alon Tolwin will
teach a six-week course in
Jewish philosophy, ethics and
values on Sunday mornings,
including Dec. 6, 13, Jan. 10,
17 and 24.
Classes will meet in the
board room of the United
Hebrew Schools building at
10 a.m. There is a subsidized
tuition fee. For information
and registration information,

Temple Israel is forming a
committee which will plan
and implement programs af-
filiated with J.E.F.F. (Jewish
Experiences for Families).
In the past, Temple Israel
hosted several programs with
the help of J.E.F.F. and its pro-
gram coordinator, Harlene
Appleman. Six J.E.F.F. pro-
grams are currently schedul-
ed on the temple calendar, in-
cluding a continuation of the
"Breakfast Club" for the
religious school members and
their parents, and a pre-
bar/bat mitzvah workshop for
sixth graders and their
families.
