We opened our showroom to the public for the first
time last year. Due to the overwhelming response to
delighted customers who found out about B & G

We invite you to enjoy the experience of shopping
for your fur without apprehension of intimidation.
May we assure you that the thrill of trying on a

Therefore, whether you are seeking a mink coat,
raccoon, beaver, coyote, or fox, please come to the

Andi Wayburn, fundraising
vice president.
During the boutique shopp-
ing, vendors sold items rang-
ing from jewelry to computer
software to handbags. The
noon luncheon began. Then
richard Fredricks, Michigan
Opera Theatre star in "Man
of La Mancha," entertained
with several Broadway songs.
The fashion show, featuring
Bettina, Tres Chic Petites,
Bricker-Tunis Furs, David R.,
Tapper's Jewelry, D.O.C. Opti-
que, Loretta Lorion, Tamara
and MarioMax Salon, con-
cluded the "Glamorama."
A highlight of the show was
the appearance by New York
designer Dominic Rompollo, a
native Detroiter who
graduated from the Center
for Creative Studies. "This is
my old stomping grounds,"
said Rompollo.
The models wore Rompollo's
fall and holiday collections
from Bettina, and previewed
some spring fashions. "The
new length is the latest trend
with fashions closer to the
body, but not skin tight," said
Rompollo. For fall, Rompollo
uses wool jersey in black,
beige and red. Holiday
fashions sparkle with glitter,
but in a subtle way. Spring
fashins will be bright with
pink accents.
Tres Chic Petites had mix-
and-match suits in navy and
brown that can go from
business to pleasure. David R.
displayed luxurious cashmere
clothes, while Tapper's show-
ed fashionable silver jewelry.
Mirrored glases from D.O.C.
Optique accessorized the out-
fits. In a true winter scene,
complete with snow, models
paraded in Bricker-Tunis
Furs, including reproductions
of Erte designs.
"The colors are yummy,"
said Sylvia Epstein, ticket
chairman of the day. Sylvia
Bernstein, of Farmington
Hills, also loved the bright
colors.
