Leon Cohan
Leon S. Cohan, senior vice
president of and general
counsel for the Detroit Edison
Co. and president of the
Jewish Community Council
of Metropolitan Detroit, will
be the guest speaker at a lun-
cheon in his honor on
Wednesday at the Sheik
Restaurant in downtown
Detroit.
Cohan will describe his re-
cent trip to Israel, and detail
his visits to various facilities
and projects of the Histadrut-
Amal educational network.
Cohan also will give an ac-
count of his impressions of the
current political situation in
the Middle East.

Learning Network of
Michigan, has begun its fall
semester. Registration is still
open for classes, which in-
clude: Jewish law, philosophy,
concepts in Jewish thought,
Hebrew ulpan, siddur and
Talmud.
