Judge Barry M. Grant has
been elected by the Michigan
Probate Judges Association
to the Michigan Judicial
Tenure Commission which
was created by the Michigan
Constitution to oversee any
judicial misconduct.
Judge Grant was appointed
to the Oakland County Pro-
bate Court by Gov. William
Milliken in 1977. At present,
he is president-elect of the
Michigan Probate Judges
Association and is a trustee of
Beaumont Hospital.

Sports Night
For Families

Akiva Hebrew Day School
will sponsor family sports
night at the Compuware Ice
Arena in Oak Park, 8 p.m.
Nov. 14.
Activities will include ice
skating, walleyball, racquet-
ball challenge court, contests
and prizes. The ABZ Or-
chestra will play Chasidic
and Israeli music, and a magi-
cian will entertain the
children. Kosher food will be
