Chamber Winds
Name Kent

Bernard Kent has been
eleCted president of the board
of trustees of Detroit
Chamber Winds. A partner at
the accounting firm of
Coopers and Lybrand, Kent
has been a trustee of the
chamber ensemble since
1984.
Kent recently won the
William Boesky Young
Leadership Award, which is
given annually to outstan-
ding young leaders of the
Jewish Welfare Federation.
He is the former president of
the Children of Holocaust
Survivors Association in
Michigan.

Documentary
Wins Award

Randleman Filmworks an-
nounced that its video
documentary, Our Missing in
Action, has been declared the
winner in the documentary
category of the Michigan
Festival's Film and Video
Festival.
Our Missing in Action is a
documentary that focuses on
the continuing issue of the
Vietnam-era American ser-
vicemen who are still unac-
counted for in Southeast
Asia. The documentary was
produced and directed by
Philip Randleman.

Kids Programs
At Library

No registration is needed
for the 7 p.m. session of Bed-
time Stories on Wednesday at
the Bloomfield Township
Public Library. The half-hour
of stories, music fingerplays
and crafts is for children age
3-5.
The library also has two
separate Super Software pro-
grams to acquaint children
age 5 and up with the
library's computer software.

Story Hours
Due For Kids

Registration for story times
for preschoolers has begun at
the Southfield Public Library.
Story times for preschoolers
age 3-5 will be held Tuesdays
at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., and
on Wednesdays at 10 a.m.
Each story time will last
about 40 minutes.
Story times will be held in
the Children's Activity Room
starting Tuesday.
