ships between businesses and
education to get satellite
dishes placed in schools.
Newman also is the reci-
pient of a national certificate
of merit from the Ruth Hind-
man Foundation for her work
in producing the world's first
live interactive electronic
field trip to the bottom of the
Pacific Ocean. She has also
been cited by the University
of Michigan as an "Outstan-
ding Michigan Teacher?'
