NOW HEAR THIS
The Detroit Chapter has assum-
ed the responsibility to help
hearing-impaired, needy elderly
people in Israel. Because of the
troubled economic situation, the
Health Ministry cannot afford to
purchase hearing aids for the
economically deprived. Over 400
patients have been brought back to
the mainstream of life because of
a project instituted by Albert
Newman who works closely with
Mrs. Haya Levi, head of the Speech
and Hearing Center at Hadassah
Hospital in Ein Kerem. The hearing
aids are collected, serviced and
then sent on to Israel through the
national office in New York.
Please help collect as many hear-
ing aids as possible. If you have
some to donate, new or used,
please call the Hadassah office
683-5030. It's a wonderful way to
give a "gift of hearing."!
