Ruth Marie Detrick and Dr.
Ray Lefton were married
recently at Cong. Shomray
Hadath, Elmira, N.Y. Rabbi
Mitchell Silverstein
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John Detrick of
Sayre, Pa. Parents of the
bridegroom are Dr, and Mrs.
Harold Lefton of Huntington
Woods.
The bride's aunt, Mrs.
Kathy Chacona, was the
matron of honor. The
bridesmaids were Sara Lef-
ton, sister of the bridegroom,
and Susan Ashley of Boston.
Dr. Marc Lefton was his
brother's best man. Ushers
were John and Joseph
Detrick, brothers of the bride.
Following a honeymoon in
Virginia Beach, Va., the cou-
ple is making their home in
Pittsburgh, Pa., where the
bride is employed by Forbes
Health System and her hus-
band is a health care consul-
tant with Ernst-Whinney.

Candy Donations
Being Sought
Lou and Joy Landau,
operating as The Candy Lady,
will again collect Halloween
candy to donate to children
who were unable to go trick
or treating on Halloween.
The Landaus check candy
donations and send them to
the Maxey Boys Home for the
750 children there.
Candy donations will be
taken by the Landaus until
Nov. 17. It can be dropped off
at their home, 24231 Gardner,
Oak Park.

Dr. Dorothy Wagner of
Bloomfield Hills and Al
Wagner of St. Clair Shores

engagement of their
daughter, Lisa, to Mr. Wayne
Karbal, son of Mrs. Marilyn
Karbal of Bloomfield Hills
and the late Ronald Karbal.
Miss Wagner earned a
Bachelor of Arts degree in in-
terior design at Michigan
State University. She is
employed by a design firm in
Chicago.
Her fiance earned a Bach-
elor of Arts degree at the
University of Michigan and is
currently finishing studies for
a D.D.S. degree at North-
western University.
A January wedding is
planned.
