Canada Picks Honoree

M.J. (Moe) Closs, president
and chief executive officer of
Chrysler Canada Ltd., will be
the recipient of the 1987
B'nai B'rith Canada Award of
Merit for the City of Windsor.
The black-tie, gourmet,
kosher dinner will be held on
Nov. 25 at the Polonia Centre
in Windsor at 6:30 p.m.
Proceeds from the dinner
will support the organiza-
tion's Canadian programs, in-
cluding the B'nai B'rith
Youth Organization; the
Hillel groups on university
campuses; the Institute for
International and Govern-
mental Affairs, a think tank
and lobby on international
human-rights issues; and the
League for Human Rights, a
national agency dedicated to

combatting racism and
bigotry in Canada.
In addition to his position
as president of Chrysler
Canada Ltd., Closs is a direc-
tor of Union Enterprises Ltd.,
Central Trust Co., Chrysler
Credit Canada Ltd., and
Chrysler Life Insurance Co. of
Canada.
Closs was appointed presi-
dent and chief executive of-
ficer of Chrysler Canada in
1980, and elected vice presi-
dent of Chrysler Corp. in
1981.
