Naftaly has an- nounced his candidacy for re-election to the Oak Park City Council. Naftaly, 35, was first elected in 1977 at age 25. The youngest councilman in Oak Park history. He was re- elected in 1979 and 1983. Naftaly serves as mayor pro tem, a position he has held since 1985 and which he also held from 1981 to 1983. He serves on the recreation ad- visory board and the employees retirement board. Naftaly is an account vice president of investments with Paine Webber in Troy, where he has been employed for eight years. Previously, he was with the CPA firm of Geller, Naftaly, Herbach and Shapero in Southfield. He received a B.S. degree in business administration from Wayne State University.
