Beth Achim Sisterhood will
present "A Cabaret Night
with Nancy Gurwin" in a
musical "Tribute to Broad-
way" on Nov. 21 at 8:30 p.m.
in the Wasserman Hall of the
synagogue. An after glow will
follow the concert.
Gurwin trained at the
Detroit Conservatory of
Music and was graduated
from Neighborhood
Playhouse School of the
Theater in New York City.
Returning to Detroit, she per-
formed with the Detroit
Repertory Theater as well as
produced her own one-woman
shows, Two Knights with
Nancy, What Is This Thing
Called Love, and A Tribute to
Ethel Merman.
Owner-producer of
Footlights Inc./Nancy Gurwin
Productions, Gurwin has pro-
duced and staged The Fan-
tasticks and Guys and Dolls,
and the comedies The Owl
and the Pussycat, Last of the
Red Hot Lovers, The Odd
Couple, Any Wednesday, 6
RMs RIV VU, Lunch Hour
and The Diary of Ann Frank.
Ms. Gurwin is starring in
GYPsY.
