Terrorist Taken
In Gaza

Jerusalem (JTA)—Security
forces last week uncovered a
large Islamic Jihad terror
cell, arresting at least 50
suspects, and seizing a large
underground arms cache,
security sources said. The
arsenal was found in the Sha-
jaiya neighborhood in Gaza,
site of a shootout between a
group of terrorists and the
security forces in which four
Islamic Jihad terrorists and
one security service agent
were killed.
Since the incident, security
forces have carried intensive
searches in that neighbor-
hood. So far, dozens of Gaza
residents have been arrested.
The present wave of unrest
in the territories seemed to be
fading out. The Dahaishe
Refugee camp, south of
Bethlehem was still under
curfew after an Israeli boy
was injured by a stone hurled
at a car from the camp.

Whiplash ... A Job For The
Doctor of Chiropractic

BY DR. STANLEY. R LEVINE

Doctor of Chiropractic

You've bade an accident. Maybe it involves your car and
it's banged up. Now what?
Well, let's see. Call the insurance company and report the
damages ; take the car in and get the necessary estimate ;
see if you can get a loaner ; get the job done.
And try not to think about that sore neck . . . or back .. .
or leg . . . or knee . . . or shoulder. The pain will probably
go away in a few days. Won't it?
Unfortunately, in the case of a whiplash neck injury, the
symptoms may not appear for several days or even weeks
following an accident. By then, you may not even associate
the stiff neck, persistent headaches, irritability or nausea with
their real cause — that bent fender which has long since been
repaired.
Many of the cervical disorders we've studied have been
the result of auto accidents. Most of these injuries were due
to whiplash incurred in rear-end auto colli-
sions. The violent backward snapping, then
forward rolling motion of the head
following impact puts a tremendous strain on
the neck. Torn muscles, stretched ligaments
and spinal damage frequently occur.
- Time is not on your side in the case of
a whiplash injury. Left untreated, the condi-
tion will only worsen, often developing into
severe migraine headaches, extreme ner-
vousness, insomnia or arthritis.

The vistim of a whiplash neck injury is tru-

ly in need of appropriate treatment and
care, the type of care offered by Chiroprac-
tic. As a specialist in problems of the spine, nerves and
muscles, the Doctor of Chiropractic is recognized as well
qualified to deal with whiplash injuries. Unfortunately, too
many don't know this.
