Ariav emigrated to Israel in
1939, served with the
Palestine Regiment in the
British Army, was an officer
in the Irgun and headed the
Medical Field Corps for that
organization. He later served
as an officer in the Israel
Defense Forces.
He currently serves as
deputy world chairman of the
Jewish National Fund and
represents the JNF board of
directors of the land ad-
ministration of Israel.
