spent his campaign time
walking door-to-door and
shunned bad talking any of
the candidates. "I hear
positive things about
Southfield and I want to be a
part of that," he said.
In addition to the council
elections, some Southfield
residents will vote in a special
primary election for a new
21st District county commis-
sioner to replace Alexander C.
Perinoff, who died earlier this
year. The candidates include
three Democrats (Lew
Barnett, Eric Coleman,
Lillian Jaffe Oaks) and one
Republican (Douglas
Sokolowski.)
More than a dozen Oakland
County cities will hold
mayoral elections, including
Berkley, Huntington Woods,
Oak Park and Royal Oak.
