Singles Cruise
Spaces Limited

A limited number of spaces
still exist for the fourth an-
nual, nation-wide Jewish
singles cruise, sponsored by
the St. Louis Jewish Com-
munity Centers Association.
The week-long cruise will
begin Feb. 28 on the Royal
Caribbean's Song of America.
Ports of call include
Cozumel, Ocho Rios, Grand
Cayman and Labadee. Price
includes round-trip airfare to
Miami, meals, entertain-
ment, accommodations, port
taxes and more. Prices range
from $1,050 to $1,400, based
on double, triple or quad oc-

Judiasm And Sex
Lecture Topic

"Judaism and Sexuality"
will be the topic of a three-
week course taught by Dr.
Tikva Frymer-Kensky begin-
ning at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday
at the main United Hebrew
Schools building.
Dr. Frymer-Kensky is an
Assyriologist and author. She
will focus on the challenges
that Judaism confronts with
regard to modern reproduc-
tive technology, and the
Jewish concept of marriage,
sex and fertility will be
reviewed in light of current
thinking.

Fitness Night
At The Center

The Community Network
for Jewish Singles and the
Jewish Community Center
health clubs will join for a
health club extravaganza at 5
p.m. Nov. 4 at the main
Jewish Center.
The evening will include a
beginning tone up, non-
impact aerobics, a demonstra-
tion of computerized exercise
equipment and a wine

Due For Singles

Eastern Michigan University,
will begin a three-part series
on "Scruples" at 7:15 p.m.

Israeli Planes
Hit Bekaa Valley

Tel Aviv (JTA) —Israeli
warplanes struck terrorist
bases in Lebanon's Bekaa
Valley last week just five
kilometers from the Syrian
border. According to Lebanese
sources, the bombs fell about
500 meters from graduation
ceremony of Palestinians
guerrillas at which the
graduates were conducting
maneuvers in front of some
200 Palestinians, leftists and
pro-Syrian officials. One
casualty was reported.
An Israel Defense Force
spokesperson said the targets
were two or three structures
and a small tented camp area
belonging to several terrorist
organizations of anti Arafat
forces.
