Dr. Yehuda Bauer
Dr. Yehuda Bauer, academic
chairman in the Institute of
Contemporary Jewry at the
Hebrew University in
Jerusalem, will speak on
"Anti-Semitism — Is It a Real
Threat" as part of the Friday
evening service at Temple
Israel on Oct. 23 at 8 p.m.
Dr. Bauer is being brought
to the Detroit area by the
American Friends of the
Hebrew University, Temple
Israel and the Ecumenical In-
stitute for Jewish-Christian
Studies.
Considered to be one of the
foremost authorities on the
Holocaust, Dr. Bauer heads
the Holocaust Study Division
at Hebrew University. He has
authored many books in-
cluding: The Holocaust in
Historical Perspective,
American Jewry and the
Holocaust, The Holocaust as
Historical Experience and a
textbook for senior high
school and college students
entitled, The History of the
Holocaust.
Dr. Bauer also serves as
chairman of the academic
committee of the Vidal Sas-

brunch series, part of the
Main Jewish Community
Center Family Spot program
will begin Sunday at 11 a.m.
in room 331 of the Center.
It will feature Julie Austin
of the Song Sisters who will
perform as well as discuss the
importance of music in
babies' lives. A special tape
will be available for parents
and babies. There is no
charge.
