The program will feature Ruthellen Kass Singer, who will give a book review on Lovingkindness by Anne Roiphe, the story of a liberal mother's struggle to come to terms with her rebellious daughter's new-found fun- damentalism in a Jerusalem yeshivah. Singer is vice president of education for the Greater Detroit Chapter of Hadassah. She was formerly Hadassah day chairman for the Detroit Jewish Book Fair, and former academic librarian for Wayne County Community College as well as former research assistant, School of Public Health, University of Michigan, Urban Medical Practice Study. She also serves on the b'nai mitzvah standards committee of Adat Shalom Synagogue. Singer earned a B.A. degree in history at the University of Michigan and an M.S. degree in library science at Wayne State University. The Women's Annual Donor, which will culminate the fund-raising campaign for the Sports Field and Land- scaping Project at Beit Bluma School in Petach Tikvah, will take place Dec. 8 at Cong. Shaarey Zedek. The Invocation for Tues- day's meeting will be delivered by Bess Axelrod. Sadie Goren will be program chairman of the day. Charlupski is a member of Parkwood Chapter and past chairman .of the Metropolitan Detroit Israel Bond Women's Division. As a survivor of the Holocaust, she participates in the Holocaust oral history project. Franka Charlupski and her husband, Allen, were in- strumental in the building of the Holocaust Memorial Center. She is active in Cong. Shaarey Zedek, American Red Magen David Adorn, B'nai B'rith, Hadassah, Pioneer Women, American Mizrachi Women, Jewish Na- tional Fund and Zionist Organization of America. The funds from this event will be' used to equip a new computer laboratory at the ORT Habonim School in Bat Yam, Israel.
