Agency Relations, Planning and Budgeting

What needs must be met in the coming
year? What Jewish agencies and insti-
tutions should be funded by our com-
munity campaign? What facilities re-
quire replacement?

How much can we afford to allocate to
Jewish education? The elderly? Families
in distress? Israel?

They are critical questions that the 100
volunteers on Federation's four planning
and budgeting divisions face each year.
Together with professional staff members,
they spend many months assessing the
funding needs of Federation's partners at
home and overseas.

Their work culminated in allocations to 60
beneficiaries of the 1987 Allied Jewish
Campaign. For a listing, see Page 6.
