B'nei Akiva
Teens Gather
MENTALIST
On Sunday, Chevreyah Bet
(high School) of B'nei Akiva
will meet at the Akiva Day
School at noon for the Tigers
vs. Thronto baseball game.
There are only reserved seats.
Members of the Sunday
Fun Group and the youth mi-
nyan (age 6-12) are invited to
come apple picking on Oct.
11. The group will meet at
Young Israel of Southfield at
1:30 p.m. for transportation to
the orchard, which includes a
tour of the orchard, cider mill,
beehives and petting farm.
Families are welcome. Orders
will be available for bushels
of apples.
Chevreyah Bet will go ice
skating on Oct. 18. The group
will meet at the Compuware
Oak Park Ice Arena at 4 p.m.
Refreshments will be served.

Meeting Tuesday
American-Israel
The
Chamber of Commerce of
Michigan will hold its open-
ing meeting on Tuesday at
6:30 p.m. in the Radisson
Plaza Hotel, Southfield.
The Keynote speaker will
be Murray Lender of Lender's
Bagels and chairman of I/Am
Importing, a company impor-
ting Israeli food on a major
scale. His address will be
followed by a presentation
about Masco Corp.'s ex-
perience importing and ex-
porting to Israel.

meeting which includes a
cocktail and dessert recep-

Tour Planned
The Jewish Historical
Society announces Max Sosin
and Dr. Aaron Lupovitch will
lead its tour through historic
Jewish Detroit. The bus tour
will be conducted at 12:30
p.m. on Sunday, meeting at
the Jimmy Prentis Morris
Branch of the Jewish Com-
munity Center.
