Karen Katz

The Detroit Zionist Federa-
tion has named Karen A.
Katz as its first executive
director, according to Norman
Naimark, DZF President.
Her responsibilities include
increasing membership and
participation, initiating and
implementing programs,
creating greater exposure for
the DZF in the Jewish and
non-Jewish communities and
achieving greater recognition
for the DZF as a local Zionist
"spokesgroup."
Additionally, Katz will
serve as chairman of the
scholar-in-residence commit-
tee, on a voluntary basis.
Katz, who has served the DZF
for several years in a public
relations capacity, is also ser-
ving her third term as presi-
dent of the Young Women of
the Jewish National Fund, a
member organization of the
DZF.
