an error:
"Epistle to the Hebrews"
was first published in the

American Hebrew
1882-1883, and then re-
printed as a pamphlet by the
Federation of American
Zionists in 1900. In 1944,
brief excerpts were published
by Schappes in his book,
Selections from the Prose and
Poetry of Emma Lazarus. Now
Schappes has edited and sup-
plied an introduction and
elaborate annotation to a fac-
simile reprint of the 1900
pamphlet, issued by the
Jewish Historical Society of
New York . . ."

Jerusalem (JTA) — A peti-
tion urging Soviet Jews who
receive exit visas to come to
Israel was released in
Jerusalem Monday by recent
immigrants from the USSR.
It reportedly has the endorse-
ment of two former Prisoners
of Conscience in Moscow,
Viktor Brailovsky and Iosif
