Justin Prinstein checks out a Southfield fire truck. p olice and fire equipment attracted young and old, but present and Southfield residents enjoyed talent shows, face painting, puppetry and _refreshments at a massive block party staged two weeks ago by the Jewish Welfare Federation's Neighborhood Project and residents of Southfield's "Greater Square Mile Held on Andover Street near the Beacon Square Swim club, hundreds of families attended the affair. The block party is one of a series of events sponsored by the Neighborhood Project to encourage Jewish families to live in Southfield and Oak Park. In addition to providing no-interest loans to help families obtain mortgages, the Neighborhood Project is sponsoring events to encourage neighborhood social and cultural events, as well as block clubs and other civic associations. ❑ "Lacey" August is all tuckered out.
