Seniors, Families Join For Event Detroit-area seniors, their families, and friends are in- vited to participate in an afternoon of musical enter- tainment on Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. The National Council of Jewish Women, Greater Detroit Section, is offering the excursion as part of its "Up and Out" programming for seniors. Participants will be transported by bus to United Hebrew Schools, where they will view the In- ternational Opera Company singing show-tunes, opera and Hebrew favorites. Because the event has been underwritten by the De Roy Testmentary Foundation, there is only a nominal charge, which covers the show, transportation and refreshments. "Up and Out" is sponsored by the section's community services department, headed by Vice President Carol Sue Coden. This is the first such day where seniors have been encouraged to invite guests.
