(Mindy), to Michael Crown
Rothman, son of Noel and
Florence Rothman of
Evanston, Ill.
Miss Soble, daughter of the
late Dr. Allen Robert Soble, is
the director of broadcasting
for the Chicago Board of Rab-
bis Broadcasting Commission
and is currently completing
her Ph.D. degree in radio,
television and film at Nor-
thwestern University.
Her fiance has earned
undergraduate degrees in
economics and biology as well
as a graduate degree in,
biology from Stanford
University.
A May wedding is planned.

Detroit Film
Wins Honor

Young at Heart, a film writ-
ten, directed, and produced by
Detroiters Sue Marx and
Pamela Conn of Sue Marx
Films is one of only nine
United States entries selected
to be shown at the New York
Film Festival which runs
from Sept. 25 through Oct. 11
at Lincoln Center in New
York City.
On Labor Day weekend,
Young at Heart will also be
screened at the prestigious
Telluride Film Festival in
Telluride, Colo.
Young at Heart is a
documentary film about two
widowed Detroit-area artists
in their mid-80s who meet on
a painting excursion to
England and discover —
through their common in-
terest in painting — love,
romance and marriage. It will
air nationally on PBS later
this year and will also be seen
on HBO and Showtime.
Major funding for the film
was provided by Sinai
Hospital, the Michigan Coun-
cil for the Arts and local
foundations.
