Yehudah Sisterhood will pre-
sent Cantor Edward
Feigelman in a concert of Yid-
dish and cantorial music at
the first annual sisterhood
dinner on Sunday at 6 p.m. at
the synagogue, 15400 W. Ten
Mile, Oak Park.
A native of Detroit, Cantor
Feigelman has served for the
past 22 years as full-time and
as High Holy Day cantor of
congregations in Montreal,
New Orleans, New York City,
metro Detroit and Windsor.
He has performed in concerts
across the United States and
Canada.
In addition to studying
chazzanut with Cantor
Hyman J. Adler and pursuing
vocal training with the late
Avery Crew of Wayne State
University, Cantor Feigelman
holds a B.A. degree in music,
a cantorial - diploma from
Yeshiva University and an
M.A. degree in music educa-
tion from New York
University.
He has lectured widely on
the subject of cantorial music
and has authored a number of
articles in that field.
