IN usic by the People's Choice, an elegant kosher buffet dinner and an op- portunity to benefit Israel highlighted the recent "Bonds Go Broadway" black-tie af- fair, sponsored by the New Leadership Division of Israel Bonds. The party's theme was enhanced with decorative posters and programs, Broadway • tunes, and a gift for the women as they departed, a "Broad- way Danny Rosa" Couples and singles attended the Thursday night affair, which was highlighted by a performance by State of Israel Bonds International Chairman, David Hermelin, of Bingham Farms, who delighted the audience with a song and magic tricks. On the serious side, Hermelin Neil and Joni Satovsky dance to Broadway themes. . spoke about the strides Israel is mak- ing in its infrastructure with the aid of Israel Bonds. In his appeal to the guests, Hermelin encouraged everyone to visit Israel to see how Bonds are put to use. New Leadership Division General Chairmen Larry Wolfe and Donald Wagner welcomed the guests and described the activities of the divi- sion, which include membership enrollment meetings, congregational receptions, educational workshops, IVRIARA informational breakfast seminars and cocktail parties. The evening was the occasion to induct Wagner in the Prime Minister's Club, an honor society of the State of Israel which recognizes purchasers of $25,000 or more in Israel securities within a given year. Beginning with less than a dozen founders, the division has grown to an executive board of 20 and a general board of 35. Fourteen members will represent the division this week at the North American Leadership Con- ference in Montreal. ❑ David Hermelin performs a magic trick prior to delivering his appeal.
