The Jewish Community
Center's "Me and My Dad"
program will have a fathers-
only orientation Thursday at
the main Jewish Center
library.
The program is geared for
busy Dads and their children
age 5, 6 and 7. Meetings are -
held once a month, usually on
a weekday evening, on an
alternating basis in the
homes of the participants.
The meeting agenda in-
cludes an opening
candlelighting ceremony, an
activity, arts and crafts pro-
jects, cooking, woodworking,
games, songs and stories, a
snack and closing ceremony.
Occasional field trips also
are offered. Each participant
gets a t-shirt.

Volunteers
Are Needed

The American Heart
Association of Michigan is
looking for volunteers for its
Oakland County Heart Infor-
mation Center, 16310 W. 12
Mile Road.
Volunteers must be at least
18 years of age and able to
work at least 12 hours a
month. Duties include accep-
ting telephone requests for in-
formation, record keeping
and light typing. For informa-
