Radomer Gives Gift
Of Ambulance To MDA
A fully equipped am-
bulance was donated to
Magen David Adorn (MDA),
Israel's emergency medical,
blood and ambulance service
by Radomer Aid Society. It
was dedicated at the installa-
tion brunch in memory of
Jack Sherman. The organiza-
tion contributed another am-
bulance in 1983.
The Pikuach Nefesh ("Sav-
ing Lives") Award was
presented to the Radomer
Society for aiding MDA in the
humanitarian and lifesaving
programs.
Attending the dedication of
the ambulance were: Esther
and Edward Sherman; Nancy
Ager; Oscar Tuttleman; Mrs.
Norman A. Segal, officer,
Michigan Region, American
Red Magen David for Israel
(ARMDI) who made the
presentation; Dr. John J.
Mames,. chairman, Michigan
Region, ARMDI; and Joseph
Finkel.
The organization installed
the following officers: Tut-
tleman, president; Ms. Ager
and Finkel, vice presidents;
Robert Dorn, treasurer; Mae
Weintraub, recording
secretary; Lillian Katz, finan-
cial secretary; Louis Kline
and Sam Ager, trustees; Mae
Weintraub and Rita Ager,
sunshine committee; Jean
Feldman, publicity; Nathan
Wolok, honorary president.
Guild Members Cited
The Sinai Hospital Guild is
sponsoring a breakfast to
honor new guild members on
Sept. 16 at 9:30 a.m. in the
home of Rosie Schlussel in
Southfield. Dr. Donald
Kapetansky, chief of the
plastic surgery section at
Sinai, will discuss "Nips and
Tucks of '87," including
liposuction, face-lifts, breast
surgery and other cosmetic
procedures.
The meeting is open to new
and current guild members
who enroll one or more
members.
