JEWELERS

The Greater Detroit Sec-
tion, National Council of
Jewish Women, will sponsor
a tour of "Jewish Detroit"
Sept. 17 at 10 a.m.
The bus trip will highlight
points of interest in old
Detroit, including a visit to
the former Cong. Shaarey
Zedek on Chicago Blvd. The
group will have lunch at
Monroe's Restaurant in Trap-
per's Alley.
The tour will be conducted
by guides Dennis King and
Sheri Devries. King has led
historical tours of the Jewish
community here for the past
nine years. Devries gained
much of her knowledge of
Detroit's Jewish roots while
working as a former program
director at the Jewish Home
for Aged.
The trip is open to NCJW
members and guests. There is
a charge. The event has been
planned by the section's
membership department,
headed by vice president Bar-
bara Grant. Lenora Noler is
chairwoman of the day.
Pre-registration is required.
To make arrangements, call
the NCJW offices, 258-6000.
