I SINGLE LIFE I
1,000 Ways
To Meet Your Match!
One thousand ads, and several thousand responses later, People Con-
nectors in The Jewish News are still the easiest way for Jewish singles
to meet other Jewish singles.
With this week's edition, we've reached the 1,000-ad plateau, a number
we could hardly foresee when we launched our People Connector and
Single Life section 10 months ago.
If you're engaged or married because of someone you met through our
People Connectors, we'd like to hear from you. Please contact News Editor
Heidi Press at 354-6060.

Joseph Kelman.
Torontonians reached out
to their new friends by offer-
ing themselves as chauffeurs,
taking many of the Detroiters
to various attractions, shopp-
ing areas, museums and
monuments. The Beaches,
Harbourfront with its famous
boat rides, the • CN Tower,
Eaton Centre and the fashion
houses on Spadina Avenue
were some of the places the
Detroiters picked to visit.
Since the Detroit group was
based downtown, special bus
transportation was arranged
to the synagogue and dance,
both located far uptown.
Along the way, places of
Jewish interest — particular-
ly along the Jewish communi-
ty's main drag, Bathurst
Street — were pointed out by
a member of the Detroit
group familiar with, the route.
Despite the 90$ degree heat,
traffic snarls caused by the
visit of the Duke and Duchess
of York and a downtown
Grand Prix-type race, the
Detroiters found their way
around town easily and, from
comments made on the train
home, said they enjoyed the
hospitality and attractions of
Toronto.
At the same time, the
Torontonians so enjoyed
meeting their Michigan
counterparts, that a group is
planning to come to the
Detroit-area in late fall for a
visit.
