Maccabee AZA
League Champs

Maccabee AZA is the cham-
pion of the AZA Softball
League for 1987, winning the
championship game, 11-5.
Members of the Maccabee
team are: Bryan Beckerman,
Adam Fishkind, Richard Fox,
Gary Hollander, Jason In-
gber, Michael Kahan (cap-
tain), Dave Kantor, Marty
Kaye, Sam Keith, Jason
Kofender, Stuart Levy, Paul
Newman, Mike Randel, Dan
Skoczylas and David
Taitelbaum. Presentation of
the softball trophy will of-
ficially be made at the AZA
Council meeting on Wednes-
day at 7 p.m. at the B'nai
B'rith Building, by softball
chairman, Jeff Blackman.
Sam Fisher, new executive
director of the Fresh Air
Society, will be the featured
speaker at the BBYO VIP
Leadership Camp, which will
take place this weekend at
the Charles and Florence
Milan BBYO Conference Cen-
tre in Belle River, Ont.
Twenty-eight AZA, BBG and
BBYO chapter presidents will
attend the leadership
program.
The first BBYO adviser
group meeting for the new
program year will take place
on Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. at the
BBYO office. Positions are
still available as volunteer
advisers for AZA and BBG
chapters in the Metropolitan
Detroit area. For information,

of Michigan law student, at-
tended the executive board
meeting of the National
Jewish Law Student Network
in Washington, D.C. Weil is a
regional director of the JLSN.
The network is a national
organization for Jewish law
students sponsored by B'nai
B'rith Hillel Foundation and
cosponsored by the American
section of the International
Association of Jewish
Lawyers and Jurists. Jewish
law student associations at
some 100 law schools, in-
cluding the University of
Michigan Law School, Wayne
State University Law School
and the University of Detroit
Law School, are affiliated
with the network.
The network seeks help
from lawyers and others in
Jewish communities across
