Union Lake on selected models Merritt Wolson 681-7955 N Cloisonne The making of cloisonne first started in the Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368 AD). The first step Is the moulding ot the body out of copper. When the article is well shaped a filigree Is soldered onto the base. This step requires gnat care and high creativeness. Copper wires are fixed on the body according to the artists own rich experiences, imagination and aesthetical views. A mixture of minerals and ores an applied, and the piece Is fired to secure the wire permanently. Then a process called enameling is begun. This requires many applications ot enamels and then firing. Each time the piece is fired the enamel shrinks and shrinks and requires on additional application d enainel and then again thing until oil at the recesses created by the wire are completely filled. The piece then requires 2 separate types of polishing and gilding. Rux is applied to prevent any rust from entering metals. Amity electroplating and polishing completes this magnificent piece of artistry. Each piece distinct. THE SAFE TOY BOX THAT'S ALSO A SAFE TOY IS ON VACATION UNTIL SEPT. 10TH SEE YOU WHEN WE GET BACK!
