Marion Freedman and
Katherine Tick, two master's
degree candidates at U of M,
began their year's internship
in January. Freedman has
Campaign assignments and
Tick is working at the
Neighborhood Project office.
It was in Israel that Tick
decided she would like to
work in the field of Jewish
communal service "and give
something back to the Jewish
community."
After graduation, she hopes
to apply her Federation ex-
perience to professional work
in Israel.
Freedman was a volunteer
with Federation's Women's
Division before returning to
school. When she graduates,
she would like to remain in
the field, and hopes that her
experience at Federation will
help her "get a foot in the
door."
Berke hopes to expand the
program, and utilize the ser-
vices of more student interns
in the future.
